Who we are

Evidence-based psychotherapy for the Russian-speaking community in Poland

CBT Poland Center is part of an international network of cognitive behavioural therapy centres. We train practitioners and provide psychological help in Russian, in Warsaw and online.

Why we exist

There are more and more Russian-speaking practitioners and clients in Poland, and still very little high-quality professional training and therapy in Russian. We make evidence-based psychotherapy accessible: we train psychologists on international-standard programmes and help people cope with anxiety, depression and other difficulties.

What “evidence-based approach” means

Behind the phrase is a simple idea: a method is used if its effectiveness has been tested by research, not because it looks convincing or has been accepted for a long time.

In practice this means three things:

  • Structure rather than heart-to-heart conversation. The work has a goal, a plan and clear criteria for progress. The client understands what is happening and why.
  • Measurable change. We use standardised scales so that we can see change rather than rely on a general impression.
  • Mandatory supervision. The centre’s specialists discuss their work with a supervisor regularly — this is part of the professional standard, not a sign of inexperience.

Three areas of work

Training practitioners

Certification programmes in CBT and third-wave approaches. Training is built on the sequence “theory — demonstration — supervised practice”, with compulsory peer supervision groups where participants work through their own cases.

Psychological help

Individual, family and group therapy for adults. Online and in person in Warsaw, in Russian. We work in CBT and third-wave approaches — schema therapy, DBT, EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy.

Professional support

Supervision, peer supervision groups and an open library of instruments for practitioners — so that practice does not stay isolated.

An international network

The centre was created by the same people who run cognitive behavioural therapy centres in Minsk and Israel. That means a shared methodology, shared programmes and a shared teaching faculty — but our own team and our own focus on the Polish and European context.

What we do not do

We do not provide medical services and do not practise psychiatry: we do not prescribe or adjust medication and do not issue medical opinions. If a situation calls for a doctor, we say so directly and help you find your bearings.
